For firms
A firm account lets a business buy reports in advance and order them for clients from one shared balance. The firm's owner or billing contact buys the reports, and the people in the firm order from what is left.
Open a firm accountWhat a firm account is
One firm, one balance of reports, and four roles: owner, admin, billing and member. The account is separate from any WattleAddr API account. It is for ordering reports by address in the console, and it has no API for buying packs or ordering.
What it costs
A single report bought by card on this site is $9.90 including GST at the lowest price, and the check tells you the exact total for an address before you pay. Packs and Team plans are bought in the console. Every price below includes GST.
Report packs
- 20 reports: $176 including GST, which is $8.80 a report.
- 50 reports: $396 including GST, which is $7.92 a report.
- 200 reports: $1,298 including GST, which is $6.49 a report.
Reports in a pack do not expire. You can ask for a refund of unused reports for 12 months after payment, unless you bought with a code sold with no refund for change of mind. The Refunds page shows how the amount is worked out.
Team plans
- 3 months: $594 including GST.
- 12 months: $1,980 including GST.
A Team plan covers up to 300 reports in each Sydney calendar month for the firm. Up to 5 different people can use it over the term. When a month's 300 reports are used, the order is refused, unless the firm also holds a pack, which then pays for it. It does not renew by itself.
Ordering a report
A member picks an address the check says is covered and presses Generate report. The console confirms that this uses 1 of the firm's reports, and the report is made while the page waits, which can take a minute or two. The PDF then opens in the console with Download PDF and Email this report. An optional client reference is kept with the order. A client name is deleted 30 days after the order. If an address cannot be reported, or an order fails, the report goes back to the balance and the firm is not charged.
Sending a report to a client
Email this report sends the PDF as an attachment to one address, with an optional message. It comes from the firm's legal name via WattleAddr Property, and replies go to the member who sent it. A firm may give a report to its own client as part of its own service. It may not sell reports on their own or publish them; the Terms have the detail.
Who can do what
- Owner and billing buy packs and Team plans, and change the firm's legal name, ABN and billing email.
- Owner and admin invite and manage members and rename the firm.
- Everyone, in every role, orders reports from the balance.
- Owner, admin and billing see every order of the firm. A member sees only the reports they ordered. Each person can download their list as a CSV.
Records, invoices and refunds
The CSV lists the time ordered in Sydney time, the address, the client reference, who ordered it, a link to the report and its status. An invoice is due 7 days after it is issued, and tax invoices are kept for 7 years.
A refund is not automatic. RR Sols checks each request against these terms and decides whether a refund is due and how much. We tell you our decision, with the reason, in writing. This does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If we approve a refund, we pay it within 10 business days of your request. If we need your bank details, or you change them, the 10 business days start when you give them.
Security
Two-step verification with an authenticator app is compulsory for every account. Once it applies to your account, the console asks you to set it up before you continue. Until then you can turn it on under Account, and we suggest you do.
Where reports are available
- New South Wales: every address.
- Victoria: almost every address.
- Tasmania: most addresses.
- Australian Capital Territory: most addresses.
- Queensland: Brisbane, Gold Coast, Moreton Bay and Noosa council areas only.
- Western Australia: a shorter report, free, read at the address point only (addresses whose location is on the property).
- South Australia and the Northern Territory: not covered.
Check any address free before you buy. If we can't report on it, you're not charged and no report is used. See Property terms explained for what each register means, and the council pages for what is held council by council.
What a firm account does not do
- It has no API for packs or ordering.
- It has no single sign-on.
- It does not renew by itself, and a Team plan covers 300 reports a month.
- It does not issue search certificates such as a section 10.7 certificate or a section 32 statement. The report names who issues them.
- It exports orders as CSV and in no other format.
