Council areas and ACT districts

252 council, planning scheme area and district pages across 4 states and 1 territory. Each page says what we hold there, what no register covers, and whether a report can be bought for it.

New South Wales — 129 council area pages

Every New South Wales council we hold recorded crime for. The report covers every New South Wales address, whether or not a council appears here.

Victoria — 81 planning scheme area pages

The zones, overlays and registers we hold for each Victorian planning scheme area. A report can be bought for almost every Victorian address in the state address register; each page links to the free check. The alpine resort scheme areas are not listed: they share one Alpine Resorts Planning Scheme and map fewer than five zones each, which is a footnote rather than a page.

Tasmania — 29 council area pages

The zones and Tasmanian Planning Scheme codes we hold for each council, and which codes that council never published. A report can be bought for most Tasmanian addresses in the state address register; an address whose land or zone cannot be identified is refused before payment. An address the national address file (G-NAF) does not yet hold, such as a lot or unit of a very recent subdivision, cannot be found here yet. Each page links to the free check. Kingborough is listed and is the exception worth reading: it is in none of the Tasmanian Planning Scheme layers, because it still runs the Kingborough Interim Planning Scheme 2015 while the Tasmanian Planning Commission assesses its Local Provisions Schedule.

Australian Capital Territory — 11 district pages

The ACT has no councils, so its pages are its districts, the areas its land is administered by: how many of each district’s addresses are on a block in the Bushfire Prone Area or the 1% AEP riverine flood model, and what a report reads there. A district with under 100 addresses in the live build is on the hazard map and has no page. A report can be bought for most addresses in the ACT; a house the ACT address register does not hold, or an address whose block or zone cannot be identified, is refused before payment. Each page links to the free check.

Queensland — 2 council area pages

How many addresses sit inside each overlay the council maps, for the Queensland councils whose planning data we hold. A report can be bought in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Moreton Bay, Noosa, Toowoomba. The other councils where a report can be bought are read live from the council, and have no page of figures.
