Bushfire Prone Area map by district, Australian Capital Territory

Share of addresses on land the map shows. A planning trigger, not a risk model.

This is our simplified summary of the published map, not the map itself: to check one property, use ACTmapi or ask the ACT Government through Access Canberra; the lease conveyancing inquiry documents attached to the contract say what it holds for the block.

Counts derived by WattleAddr from these registers, by our method. Bushfire Prone Area: Bushfire Prone Area Details 2026 from ACTmapi ©Australian Capital Territory; flood model: ACTGOV FLOOD EXTENT MODEL from ACTmapi ©Australian Capital Territory; addresses: ACTGOV ADDRESSES from ACTmapi ©Australian Capital Territory; blocks: ACTGOV BLOCK from ACTmapi ©Australian Capital Territory; district boundaries: ACTGOV DISTRICT from ACTmapi ©Australian Capital Territory. Addresses, blocks, districts and the flood model: ACT Government (City and Environment Directorate); the Bushfire Prone Area: ACT Emergency Services Agency; each published through ACTmapi. District outlines are simplified, and the mapped areas clipped, merged and simplified, by WattleAddr from the sources named; the publishers have not reviewed or endorsed this map.

Each district is shaded by the share of its addresses whose block is at least partly in the Bushfire Prone Area, among the addresses where that map was read. The building rules also treat non-urban land as bushfire-prone whatever this map shows (Building (General) Regulation 2008, s 44). For flood, no district is shaded: the 1% AEP riverine flood model covers the catchments of nine flood studies, only part of the Territory, so each district is dotted and its figure is a count of addresses on a block at least partly in the modelled extent; elsewhere flooding is not established. The same figures as each district page, from our weekly build of every ACT address whose block could be identified. The ACT has no councils, so its map is by district. A map is a planning trigger, not a risk model. Select a district to see where the mapped land is: drag to move the map, pinch, scroll with Ctrl or ⌘, or use + and − to zoom.

Districts without a link hold under 100 addresses in the live build and have no page. Partly mapped: the map covers only part of the district, so no share is given. Other classes: the map records its own classes, so no share is given. Not mapped: the map was not read for the live build, so nothing is said about it; that does not mean there is no hazard. No statistics: a district with no address in our build. Each district page explains its figure, where the district has enough addresses for one. Build of 15 September 2026.
