The zones, overlays and registers we hold for each Victorian planning scheme area. A report can be bought for any Victorian address in the state address register; each page links to the free check. The alpine resort scheme areas are not listed: they share one Alpine Resorts Planning Scheme and map fewer than five zones each, which is a footnote rather than a page.

The share of each planning scheme area’s addresses whose lot is at least partly in the overlay, counted among the addresses whose planning scheme uses that overlay at all. Each is the figure that planning scheme area’s own page leads with, and the page explains it. They show where the planning scheme applies an overlay, not a risk rating, and the list is alphabetical.
Addresses, not homes: an apartment building is many addresses on one lot. Not applied: the planning scheme does not use the overlay, or fewer than one address in ten here is on land whose planning scheme uses it. That is a fact about the planning scheme, not the land: an overlay is added by amending the scheme, so its absence says nothing about whether the land floods, burns or erodes. Partly mapped: the map covers only part of the planning scheme area, so no share is given. Other classes: the map records its own classes, so no share is given. No statistics: none is shown for that planning scheme area.
BMO: Bushfire Management Overlay. Victoria’s Bushfire Prone Area designation is separate, and may still apply. LSIO: Land Subject to Inundation Overlay. SBO: Special Building Overlay (overland flow). FO: Floodway Overlay. EAO: Environmental Audit Overlay. The EAO marks land whose past use means an environmental audit is needed before a sensitive use, such as a home, school or childcare centre. It is not a finding that the land is contaminated. EMO: Erosion Management Overlay. SMO: Salinity Management Overlay.
